Manage activities of LHP / HHP (Low & High Horse Power) Volume Tractors for EME (Suolahti) NPI Purchasing team related to components sourcing, granting Quality and Delivery requirements as well as specific activities for introduction of new products. For this position, the focus is leading the team to reach the expected results and interacting with the other areas of the organization. In this position the NPI Lead is supporting and reporting the site specific status to the regional LHP / HHP NPI Managers from the site (Suolahti) perspective. Additionally this person will be the "face" of the platform at he/her respective site and toward the local leadership. 
 

Your Impact: 

  • Ensure that target costs are consistent with Global Category Managers/Directors' latest cost arrangements for carryover parts and are achievable for new components. Support by the Supplier Cost Analysis team should be also coordinated. Ensure that target costs are met when the new product/application is ready for production.   
  • Develop master component schedule (list of new components requiring sourcing, timelines for RfX, negotiation, award, prototype deliveries when required, series component deliveries when required, PPAP scheduling when required).   
  • Coordinate sourcing of NPI components (executed by Regional Category Buyers) consistently with global category strategy and meeting overall new product cost, quality and schedule. Assess project maturity all along the development cycle and escalate when gaps vs. ideal status are judged excessive and not possible to fill with normal development work.   
  • Manage the team to achieve the projects results; helping to solve issues; supporting current and new hires; evaluating performance and providing feedback; identifying and applying career advancement opportunities. Managing workflow; approve business case, requisitions, orders and ECNs. Approve acquisition of items and components for new project.   
  • Present and participate in technical interactions between Engineering and Suppliers. Managing with supplier delivery parts according to Project Schedule. Responsible for gather and coordinate all necessary resources to meet NPI targets (cost, time, and quality at launch) 

 

Your Experience and Qualification: 

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering / supply chain related degree.  
  • 2-5+Years of Business Experience Required 
  • KPI management, discipline and communication are essential  
  • English, Finnish fluent and Knowledge in Project Development PMO   
  • Good relationship and negotiation skills. Organization, flexibility and ownership.
