Customer Service Rep – Accounting / OEM Support

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional and professional customer service to Precision Planting Dealers and OEM Customers

    • Effectively manage a large number of incoming calls and email inquiries

    • Identify and assess customers’ need to achieve satisfaction

    • Demonstrate expertise in all services available to our dealer network 

    • Defuse customer situations and provide resolution in a timely and effective manner

 

  • Responsible for the OEM Accounting Support

    • Utilize OEM Portals to ensure OEM customers receive their invoices timely

    • Do all payment application, returns management, and application of warranty programs for OEM customers

    • Investigate and resolve various account variances by internal troubleshooting, submitting support tickets with OEMs, and timely follow up with stakeholders until the issue is resolved

    • Continuous tracking of payment, return management and warranty related issues with timely follow up on outstanding reconciling items

    • Follow up timely with OEM contacts on past due invoices

    • Work directly with the Precision Planting OEM team to ensure they are getting the support necessary 

 

  • Provide daily assistance to Accounting Team

    • Inspire trust, teamwork, and positive team relationships

    • Motivate and inspire others in accounting to focus on the customer

    • Assist with communicating to customers who have outstanding credits or past due balances that need attention

    • Assist in follow up with customers on rebate and financing program questions

    • Act as a backup for A/R Specialist as needed; including the ability to issue daily invoices, apply payments, and processing of returns   

 

  • Responsible for creating training documents for dealers to best understand the tools that are available and best practices to ensure maximizing the available resources

 

Qualifications:

  • High school education required

  • College business courses are valued but not required 

  • 2-5 years of customer service experience

  • Experience working in accounting is preferred

  • Ability to effectively build relationships with your customers, peers, and leadership

  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal 

  • Proficiency in Computer skills: Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (Great Plains), preferred

  • Agriculture background is preferred but not required
