Dealer Marketing Development Coach - New Dealer

 

Position Overview

Precision Planting is a leading provider of planting and harvest technology in the Precision Ag Industry. We design innovative products that solve yield-robbing issues for farmers. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as the Dealer Marketing Coach for new Precision Planting dealers.  This individual will be responsible for teaching and coaching new dealers on branding, advertising, and promotion of their dealership, with the intent of launching them to success without you in 12-18 months, then moving on to the next group of new dealers.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work with new dealers to complete the Marketing Acceleration Program in their first 12 months as a Precision Planting dealer

  • Work with new dealers to create and execute annual marketing plans, with follow ups and accountability to completing agreed upon actions.  

  • Support new dealer events with strategy, planning, and execution

  • Work in concert with the Region Manager team and the other new dealer development coaches to ensure that the dealer is developing into a well rounded business

  • Work with the dealer marketing communications specialist to prioritize needs for materials that need to be created for new dealers

  • Help dealers develop their brand strategy - visual appearance, messaging, etc.

  • Teach dealers through the messaging of the Precision Planting brand and product line.

  • Help dealers prioritize marketing activities and spend

  • Teach dealers how to use the marketing tools available to them, including the marketing store, marketing co-op, and outside agencies.

  • Go through the Business Made Simple course with dealership employees to help them develop frameworks for their business and their brand

  • Provide feedback to the broader marketing team on what dealers are saying and asking for.

  • Assist dealers with the selection of website vendors, media vendors, and other agencies to help them extend their reach of being known and relevant in their area.

  • After a new dealer has worked with the Marketing Development Coach - New Dealer for 12-18 months, be able to release them to successfully work with the Region Manager on marketing and move on to the next set of new dealers that are coming on with Precision Planting.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • 3+ years experience in agriculture sales and/or marketing

  • Excellent people and time management skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Highly motivated

  • Willing to travel - 25-50% travel needed

  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, Monday.com, slack

  • Demonstrated experience in communicating complex product principles and complex marketing principles in an understandable way.

  • Willingness and ability to motivate and hold dealer accountable who are not part of the same company

  • Strong understanding of the agricultural industry and the dealer model of sales
