About the Role:
Precision Planting is seeking a electricial engineer to help us grow the manufacturing capabilities of our rapidly growing company. In this role you will be responsible for providing engineering expertise in the design, implementation, and deployment of new manufacturing capabilities as we introduce exciting new products and pursue increased throughput and quality of current products.
What would I be doing?
● Lead efforts to modernize and automate existing manufacturing processes.
● Maintain, update, and design assembly line tooling for current products.
● Collaborate with design engineering teams to implement manufacturing lines for new product introductions.
● Facilitate communication between the assembly line, quality control, and design engineers.
● Identify areas of improvement related to current assembly line fixturing, material flow, end of line test machines, etc.
● Perform problem-solving during scale-up for commercial production.
● U.S. travel is expected. (~5%).
What must I have?
● Familiarity with both the technical limitations and cost implications of manufacturing processes.
● Familiarity with automation, workflow, and material flow.
● Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate across numerous team disciplines.
● Solid modeling of mechanical parts using Creo or similar tools.
● Creation of detailed part prints as necessary for assembly line fixturing and end of line test machines.
● Growth minded with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
● Able to brainstorm out-of-the-box solutions.
● High degree of mechanical aptitude, experience, and attention to detail.
● Humility to accept the best solution to a problem, even if it’s not yours.
● Convey an eagerness and optimism about the future of agriculture.
● Willingness to buck trends and conventional thinking in pursuit of better outcomes for farmers.
● Enthusiasm to navigate uncharted territories with independence and self-leadership.
What other specific skills & experiences would be good for me to have?
● Bachelor’s/Master's degree or equivalent in engineering or related field.
● At least 5 years of Engineering experience
