About the Role:
We are seeking an individual with a passion for events to serve as an Event Marketing Coordinator. This position will report to the Event Marketing Manager and will work closely with the events team to plan, execute, and manage both internal and external events. The primary event location will be at the Tremont, IL facility, with occasional travel for
events at the PTI Farm in Pontiac, IL as well as events attended by Precision Planting off premises.


What would I be doing?
As an Event Coordinator, you will work on the event teams and will work collaboratively with our event team members. You’d be given responsibility for various events to ensure needs are met and our guests [internal and external] have a great experience. To do this, you must communicate with event stakeholders, set goals, secure catering, complete room set up & signage, and coordinate event registration and guest communication as needed.

  • Work closely with the Event Marketing Manager and events team to assist with all internal and external events.
  • Arrange all needs for assigned events, including purchase orders, catering, room setup, and signage to welcome guests.
  • Be onsite to ensure guest experience is top-notch while events are taking place.
  • Collaborate with the broader marketing team for print and digital needs regarding the event.

 

Additional Responsibilities
In addition to event needs, you will also be responsible for facility office and kitchen supplies. Occasionally, you will need to assist the events team with planning, setup, and execution at other Precision Planting events and farm shows.


What must I have?

  • Solid project management skills – ability to multi-task and work on multiple things at once to hit deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and prioritization skills in handling many requests at the same time.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with the team to improve efficiency, knowledge-share, problem-solve, and maintain close partnerships with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent team and communication skills – both written and verbal 
  • Basic Computer skills - Email, Microsoft office
  • Willingness and ability to do some physical work; examples could be setting up and moving tables and chairs moving signage, carrying packs of water, moving show stands, and other tasks as needed.
  • Flexibility in scheduling and availability to work nights and weekends based on event schedules and needs.
