Precision Planting is seeking a highly-motivated individual to provide engineering expertise in the design, implementation, and deployment of on-farm planting and harvesting equipment for advanced precision agriculture applications.
Job Responsibilities

You will be the owner of the design, testing, and productionizing of your products.

You will use cutting-edge engineering design, modeling, and rapid prototyping tools to assist in research and the invention of new product designs.

You will be doing validation of your products in the field.

You will be problem-solving during scale-up for commercial production.

You will collaborate with our in-house attorney to draft patent applications for inventions that you make.
-
You will have the opportunity to see your own ideas for helping farmers come to reality.

U.S. travel is expected. This can range from 5%-10%.
Technical Skills
-
Solid modeling of mechanical parts using Creo or similar tools.

Creation of detailed part prints as necessary for prototype and production parts.

Familiarity with basic finite element analysis software to accomplish simple analysis.

Familiarity with prototyping techniques: 3D printing, machining, fabrication, instrumentation, and data analysis.

Familiarity with both the technical limitations and cost implications of manufacturing processes such as injection molding, casting, powdered metal, stamping, & fabrication

Experience / Education Required

Bachelor’s/Master's degree or equivalent in engineering or related field.

At least 2 years of Engineering experience.
