The Sr Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis role is integral to the PTx Finance team, providing global planning, forecasting, and performance insight across Precision Planting and PTx Trimble. This role owns the end-to-end OpEx budget/forecast process for sales, marketing, product reliability, and administrative functions across ~200 cost centers and multiple legal entities. Collecting detailed monthly inputs, maintaining assumption integrity, and translating results into clear variance drivers and actionable insights are key responsibilities. The role also owns balance sheet, cash flow, and below the line income statement items for budgeting/forecasting for all of PTx. The role partners closely with HR, Accounting, and business leaders to ensure reporting accuracy, cost center governance, and decision-ready analysis.
Your Workplace
This role follows AGCO’s onsite work model, with employees primarily working from an AGCO location a minimum of 4 days per week to support collaboration and teamwork. For this role, you can work onsite in our PTx Tremont, IL location or our Duluth, GA headquarters location.
Your Impact
- Own the global annual budget, periodic forecast updates, and monthly performance management cadence for operating expenses across sales, marketing, product reliability, and administrative functions
- Collect detailed inputs by month and cost center to support budget/forecast assumptions, coordinating across regions, functions, legal entities, and cost center owners
- Maintain a strong assumptions backbone (key drivers, timing, phasing, headcount impacts, one-time items) and ensure changes are traceable and explainable
- Produce monthly variance analysis and clearly summarize primary causal drivers with recommended actions and follow-ups & develop and maintain reporting views by region, function, legal entity, and cost center to support leadership reviews
- Lead FP&A workflows in OneStream, including maintaining mapping and hierarchy, input templates, and reporting outputs for planning cycles, with a focus on creating a reporting structure that aligns with a newly formed business unit
- Perform detailed investigations using multiple ERP systems and partnering with accounting colleagues to validate actuals, explain variances, and resolve data quality issues
- Identify and drive process improvements that reduce cycle time and rework (inputs, validations, reconciliations, reporting), including implementation of AI tools to increase productivity
- Own balance sheet and cash flow budgeting/forecasting for PTx, ensuring alignment to P&L drivers and key working capital assumptions where applicable and own below the line budgeting/forecasting for accounts like amortization, stock compensation, interest income/expense, and taxes for Precision Planting and PTx Trimble legal entities
- Build reconciliations and reasonableness checks that increase confidence in outputs during review cycles and build strong working relationships with global and regional stakeholders to drive timely, accurate inputs and shared accountability
Your Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 7-10 years related accounting or finance experience, preferably in an analytical role
- High level of expertise with MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with Onestream and ERP systems like SAP and Oracle is essential
Your Compensation
This position will pay within the range of $100,000.00-$140,000.00, based on experience. This position is eligible for a bonus based on 20% of compensation.
