The job is to provide exceptional leadership and drive sales performance within the designated territory. The role will be responsible for managing and inspiring a team of Regional Sales Managers and Product Specialist Managers to foster a sales-driven culture and deliver outstanding results in a competitive agriculture industry environment. And effectively managing distribution models to maximize market reach and penetration. This role will report directly to the Commercial Director.
Your Impact
- Responsible for all PTx dealer channel sales activities throughout the specified regions.
- Planning and managing team and region business planning including farm shows and other marketing functions to build brand awareness throughout specified regions.
- Develops and maintains business relations with customers of PTx and other industry leaders.
- Develop product and dollar forecasts for the PTx dealer channel in responsible regions while monitoring and analyzing sales and market trends.
- Coordinates sales operations with all other departments/divisions of the company; responsible for driving revenue and learning from that experience to refine sales processes.
- Proactively brings feedback from the customer and dealer channel to accurately inform the product development process.
- Analyzes sales statistics to determine business growth potential and support strategic planning and ensures the successful implementation of the national/regional marketing initiatives.
- Collaborates closely with the Product Support team to execute training and development programs for the PTx dealer channel.
- Establishes performance goals for responsible Region Sales Managers, and monitors performance on a continual basis.
Your Experience and Qualifications
- A deep understanding of the ag market and its dynamics.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales management, with a proven track record of driving sales growth and effectively managing distributor relationships within the specified region.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically using Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook in a current or previous position. Additionally, Salesforce experience preferred.
- The ability to create a trusted business relationship with assigned dealers, and act as a consultant or advisor to the dealers through developing a broad understanding of the dealer’s business to drive improvement.
- Strong people skills along with presentation, negotiation and problem-solving skills including the ability to handle conflict and provide issue resolution through a strategic approach.
- Must be able to communicate clearly with all levels of management, employees, dealers, and end-users, and be highly articulate with strong communication skills.
