AGCO’s Massey Ferguson Division in Sweden, AGCO AB has an exciting opportunity for an Area Sales Manager Region North position. Joining the Massey Ferguson sales team in delivering extraordinary results throughout our dealer network. The AGCO AB Massey Ferguson office is located in Uppsala, Sweden however this position is aimed to be a minimum of 40% office based where the focus is dealer and customer visits.

 The Area Sales Manager is responsible to manage their assigned dealer’s wholesale activity for all Massey Ferguson products.  The position operates within the Sales department” structure and is part of the overall MF wholesales organization. The Area Sales Manager's role is to interface and further develop the Massey Ferguson dealers and their Field Sales team in the growth of the Massey Ferguson full line products.

 

Your key responsibilities will involve:

  • Lead the development of the sale of Massey Ferguson full line products within the responsible region, in an informative and positive way coordinated with respective Sales manager for the country.
  • Ensure together with the National Sales Manager that the management of the pricing and marketing programs effectively contribute to the profitable growth of the product, to achieve the budget target for sales volumes, net sales, and gross margins.
  • Ensure the sales target are fulfilled and tracked down to the dealer level.
  • Ensure in coordination with the country’s Sales Manager that the sales terms and conditions of the Massey Ferguson products are presented in time to the dealers and the respective salespeople.
  • Undertake a program of regular dealer visits, to ensure full customer satisfaction of the MF products and to ensure the sales target is in line with the latest forecast for the dedicated responsible sales area.
  • Ensure within the responsible sales area together with the country’s Sales Manager the inventory and stocks of Massey Ferguson’s machinery are properly recorded and managed on a monthly basis according to the policy and guidelines of the company.
  • Ensure that the network is informed on the Massey Ferguson products and that they have access to effective and regular training opportunities.
  • Take an active part in making product sales presentations.
  • Liaise with the factory competence centre on the product updates and inform the network accordingly.
  • Collaborate, develop and implement marketing campaigns incorporation with the country’s Sales Manager.
  • Support the dealers in sales activities and demonstrations.
  • Follow on a regular basic with the internal team on new dealers leads
  • Represent Massey Ferguson at local dealer events.

 

Quality and Experience:

  • Good knowledge of IT and related software, particularly MS Office including Word, Excel
  • Excellent knowledge of English, both written and oral
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a sales, marketing and/or purchasing environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills are essential.
  • Team management experiences a distinct advantage
  • It is important to be a self-starter with good motivation but also enjoy working within teams
  • Agricultural and Farming knowledge is a significant asset.
  • The role will require national and some international travel
