Our VP, Global Procurement team member plays a pivotal role in our organization by leading both the indirect and direct procurement functions. This role reports directly to the Senior Vice President, Chief Supply Chain Officer and serves as a member of the Supply Chain leadership team. Your expertise and leadership will be crucial in optimizing our procurement processes, driving efficiency, and implementing best practices across the organization.
Your Impact
- Define, develop and oversee execution of procurement strategies to ensure cost-effectiveness, quality, and sustainability of materials and services.
- Ensure all factories and distribution centers have required direct material supply and services on time, on quality, and at the best value.
- Manage the development of Category Strategies and Execution Plans which increase leverage, support growth objectives, and reduce supply chain risk within responsible spending categories.
- Create a continuous improvement culture around on-time delivery supporting root cause analysis and resolution of supplier delivery issues and meet savings, on-time delivery, and risk reduction KPIs in support of business objectives.
- Build competency and standard processes in the Purchasing and Materials organization to manage requisition to PO conversion, order acknowledgments, lead times, and inventory targets.
- Deliver new products to the market by extracting innovations from the supply base in collaboration with Product Management and R&D on time, on-quality, and at best total cost of ownership.
- Develop supply strategies enabling Customer Service to support aftermarket sales through quick turnaround of pricing and materials along with life cycle management of installed base supply.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and ensure procurement aligns with organizational goals; build maturity and professionalism in the Procurement function
- Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing procurement team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration & develop, coach, and retain talent in procurement career paths and create succession plans for key roles.
- Establish strong supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and monitor supplier performance & identify and implement process improvements and digital solutions to streamline procurement operations.
- Manage risk and compliance within the procurement function, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies and monitor market trends and industry developments to identify potential opportunities and risks for the organization.
Your Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. An MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.
- 15 plus years of experience in global procurement, with a track record of success in leading procurement functions. Experience in a transformational setting is beneficial.
- Strong understanding of procurement best practices, processes, and transformational approaches.
- Demonstrated ability to drive change, optimize processes, and implement innovative procurement strategies.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills and proven experience in supplier relationship management and contract negotiations.
- Strategic thinking and the ability to influence decision-making at the executive level with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
