We are seeking a dedicated Product solution specialist for our GrainViz product lines. The Product solution specialist will, with the help of an agile multidisciplinary team, develop and deliver products in the field of agricultural commodity monitoring.

 

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the skills and performance of the development team. You will plan and supervise the team’s activities and follow up on deliveries. You will be the main communication agent between the team and all other departments of the company, and will make every effort required to ensure the motivation of the teams and the success of the projects.

 

 

Job Function and Responsibilities:

  • Act as product owner in Agile product development process, prioritizing the product backlog.
  • Understand and document regional customer requirements, from installation, operation, and maintenance standpoints.
  • Collaborate with global product management teams and various stakeholders in defining the short-term product roadmap.
  • Establish product design criteria based on customer requirements from product management and translate to engineering requirements.
  • Ensure quality and compliance of deliverables with design criteria and act as product approver.
  • Facilitate agreement on product specifications, pushing customer-centric features.
  • Stay current on status of research, engineering, and software projects by setting up an appropriate reporting schedule with stakeholders. Spot gaps and work with stakeholders to ensure successful project completion.
  • Understand the existing product architecture and vision.
  • Communicate proactively about changes and the status of projects.
  • Integrate new electrical and mechanical hardware and software developments in collaboration with department leads.
  • Plan beta tests on customer sites.
  • Provide technical support in collaboration with the software product owner (level 3 support).
  • Develop strong relationships with regional stakeholders and business units.

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or more in engineering or computer science, or in business with demonstrated relevant experience in technical product development and management.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in managing design teams.
  • Strong software and electronics background, including hardware design.
  • Strong UX and VOC experience with a real passion for solving customers’ needs.
  • Ability to balance tactical and strategic issues.
  • Ability to communicate upward and downward with stakeholders.
  • Business acumen (NPD business cases, margin analysis, global IFO understanding).
  • Ability to make data-driven decisions and be able to function in ambiguous situations.
  • Extremely organized, motivated, and results oriented.
  • Strong cross-functioning skills with project management and product management.
