Our team in Beloit, Kansas, is looking for a Material Planning Analyst.  In this role, you will report to the Material Planning Group leader. The primary responsibility of this position is to manage the external supply of purchased products in support of production needs. Carries out effective material control techniques that ensure material availability while achieving defined inventory plans. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship or relocation assistance. The candidate must be legally authorized to work in the US and must be local.

 

Your Impact

  • Supports and attains defined inventory levels for purchased components to support an optimized inventory plan while developing material release quantities with suppliers consistent with company order policies.
  • Analyze Materials Resource Planning system requirements, note and correct discrepancies when appropriate and work with internal and external groups to reduce inventory levels.
  • Communicates requirements forecasts to suppliers to meet delivery schedules that are consistent with production schedule needs while also working with suppliers to identify and resolve any potential future supply challenges.
  • Resolves component supply issues related to supplier quality problems and inventory discrepancies. You will also expedite suppliers to ensure supplier delivery performance meets commitments and expectations.
  • Meets with suppliers to resolve performance issues and drive continuous improvement; Controls the use of inbound freight and premium freight to minimize costs.

 

Your Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent related experience in purchasing, production planning, and material and inventory control, preferably in an OEM or tier 1 supplier environment.
  • Purchasing, production planning, material, and inventory control, preferably in an OEM or tier 1 supplier environment.
  • Proficient in using the Microsoft Office suite of products, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
  • Possess leadership ability and judgment and demonstrate initiative with a sense of urgency.
  • Excellent communication skills and above-average analytical skills.
